Beauty Weekend: Elle Cosmetics

{photo came from Google Images, I do know own it}

Happy Beauty Weekend! Looking though the September issue of ELLE Magazine (US edition Katy Perry on the cover) Iv noticed an ad on page 491. It wasn't just any company ad, it was ELLE telling us that they have a cosmetic line Only at Kohl's. But if your like me and never shopped at kohl's before or don't even know were a Kohl's is at, you can shop online

I did take some time to go to the site and check out what they have. I do have to say I was quite surprised. They have eye products ranging from eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. They have lip products like Lipsticks, lip liner and lip gloss. With there Face products they have blush, bronzer and a face primer. I wonder why I don't see face powders, does the line have them? There is a nail section that has nail lacquer, clear coat, nail clippers and scissors, cuticle nippers and a nail filer. There is one more section called accessories and this is were you will find cosmetic bags and cases, makeup brushes and Tweezers.

Now you might be wondering, "How much does this cost?" Well looking at all the products online prices ranged from $10USD - $30USD. Yes, this line is a little bit pricey. So i would suggest checking out some reviews before buying. I will list some reviews I found online down below.

Beauty Weekend: Fall Gypsy Eye Look

Happy Beauty Weekend! So this look is brought to you by a post I just did called "A Fall Gypsy Feeling". In the post i am wearing this look and i also told you how this look inspired the outfit I was wearing. Therefor since I'm so nice and people really liked the eye makeup, i decided to show you how I achieved the look. Lets get started!
* I am not a professional makeup artist nor have I had any schooling
* This is not a sponsored post nor am i affiliated with any of the companies mentioned/ used.

1. First you will need to prime your eye lids with a eye primer of your choice. (I used e.l.f eye lid primer)
2. Using Revlon matte eye shadow in 008 Aubergine put this color all over the eyelid and in the crease.

3. Now you will need Revlon Luxurious color (Satin finish) in 015 Shimmering Sienna. This color will go only on the eye lid (don't place this color in the crease)
4. This will be your last eyeshadow color. Using this beautiful blue in Revlon matte 007 Riviera place this color in the crease. (this color can get very harsh, so blending the crease will be a must)

5. Use a liquid eye liner on the top lash line ( I used L.A Colors Liquid eyeliner in black/brown). For the bottom lash line, use a pencil liner (I used Jordana Easyliner retractable pencil in Smokey). For my eye lashes in obsessed with L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Explosion Mascara in Carbon Black.
{Time For the Lips}
1. You will need e.l.f lipstick in Seductive (you can find this product at Target and its only $1USD) Place this color all over your lips.
2. Now using Sinful Colors Lip Shine in Hot to Trot (You can find this product at Walgreens and CVS for $3USD) Place this color on top of the lipstick.

Now we are all finished! If you try this look please send me a picture through Twitter @HelloCortney or a link to your post. (I would love to see it)

So Halloween is right around the corner. If you already know what you want to be or you have something in mind let me know. I will be more than happy to show you a makeup look for it :).

A Fall Gypsy Feeling

Forever21+ Basic Black Cardigan, Torrid Tie Tube Top, Forever21+ Super Skinny Jeans, Target Sneakers, Torrid Purse (I bought it online about 2 or 3 years ago)
This outfit was inspired by my eye makeup. Very fall but also summery, at the same time. I decided to wear a tie tube top...yes a Tube Top! but it does have a fall like inspired print on it. (dramatic prints are in for this fall) I teamed it up with a light black cardigan. Even though summer hasn't ended yet, it did start to get colder recently. If your wondering about the makeup and want the look. This weekend (Saturday) I will be showing you how to get it. The lips might change, but I'm really not sure yet. If you have any other questions, leave them in the comment section below.

Green Smokey Glitter

Happy Beauty Weekend! So this look was inspired by the outfit I wore yesterday (here) and the makeup I was wearing (you cant see the makeup in my outfit post). The only difference I did was add gold glitter and eyeliner to the bottom lash line. Since fall is right around the corner, this look is perfect for the season. So lets get started! P.S. -A list will be at the bottom of the post with all the products used on my whole face.

1. Prime your eye area with a primer of your choice. (I used e.l.f. Eyelid Primer )

2. Using Urban Decay's eyeshadow in Chronic, place this color all over the eye lids.

3. Now take e.l.f single eyeshadow in Charcoal, place this color in the crease and outer corner.

4. With a blending brush, blend the Charcoal color with the green. (keep blending in-tell everything becomes smooth)

5. Now you will be using glitter. This is L.A. Colors Shimmering Loose eyeshadow with a brush. (I suggest using another brush to apply this. So don't use the brush it comes with.)

6. So with your eyeshadow brush take some of the glitter and pat it on the eyelid. Once you get some on there, with the same brush smooth it out (we don't want it to look like a disco ball).
Now your done! Add mascara, eyeliner and a lipstick and ROCK your new look.

I hope you liked this green smokey glitter eye look. If you try it out, please let me know. I will be post another Beauty Weekend post tomorrow... so get ready! :).

Cortney in Wonderland

Beverly Drive Cardigan, H&M White Cami, Forever21+ Black Cami, Forever21+ Black skinny Jeans, Target  Xhilaration boots, purse

I'm obsessed with Fall Fashion. I love wearing dark colors with a pop of color and Autume time lets me do that. I'm also a fan of layering. The most easy layering tip/style is two Cami's, white and black. (You just cant go wrong) I called this Cortney in wonderland because its my take on Alice. I wanted to wear a army/military inspired outfit but the background is sooo Alice in Wonderland. (I'm a freaking genius... Tee-Hee) ... (Just Kidding) <3

Fall Music

Forever21+ Brown Cardigan, Hot Topic Hello Kitty Food Coma shirt, Forever21+ super skinny jeans, Target Merona shoes, Lifepod Beat Generation Groove Master Stereo Bag

Its been feeling like fall lately. The trees have been changing colors, leaves have been falling, and squires have been gathering nuts like there going out of style. I decided to get festive with it and wear neutral makeup with a reddish brown lip. I also pulled my hair back so it wouldn't be a distraction. I did the same with my outfit, neutral and nothing over the top (since by bag is already a show stopper).
