My Apple Watch Story and Thoughts

{Apple Watch 42mm Classic Buckle}

You might have noticed in some of my post and videos that I have an Apple Watch. I haven't really talked about it because it never really crossed my mine, due to the fact of being grateful and overwhelmed. So today I decided to share with you all the story behind my Apple Watch and tell you my true feeling on how I feel about the watch in general.
First things first, I never anticipated on getting an Apple Watch and the idea of a watch like this never crossed my mind. But I did have a watch in mind that I wanted for a specific purposes and that's the FitBit for exercising because you all know by now I'm trying to get healthy and loose weight.
One normal day on Twitter I was writing to you all (updating my tweets) and looking at the tweets of people I follow. I then came across a tweet from Complex Style AKA Complex Magazine but the style section and their tweet said they were hosting a Giveaway for an Apple Watch that one lucky winner could win... So I entered! I already new my chances of winning were highly slim but you can never win if you don't enter. A couple weeks went by like 2 or 3 and at this point I completely forgot all about it. Checking my email (I do multiple times a day) I came across a message that had four emoji confetti celebrate things and it said I was the winner. At first I thought it was a complete scam and there was know way in hell I won. So I scrolled down to the bottom of the message an saw the real company address, name and work field tittle and that how I new it was legit. This is when I completely flipped out in my head but was so scared and shocked that I won. I always get this way when I win something, get a gift or even get asked by a company to review their product. I'm just the type of person that realizes nothing has to be given to you or even shared with you and when it does happen you should be grateful/thankful for everything. I of course told my boyfriend I won and showed him the message even thought I was going to wait In tell it showed up at my door step but that would be to much for me to keep to myself. Last but not lease I filled out the required shipping information and sent it off. A week later it was deliver in the best packaging and very secure and discreet.
Now let's have a little chat about the watch in general because I know a lot of people are kinda unsure about getting one or what kind they should get. So first lets get one thing clear, this is an "Apple Watch" so you need to have an Apple phone to use it. That's just how this whole thing works. Next, when it comes to the different watch style types there is Apple watch sport, Apple watch and Apple watch edition. I personally have the Apple Watch 42mm with the Classic Buckle. When it comes to pairing the watch with your phone it's super fast and easy and you pair them through Bluetooth, so yes your phone batter will get it if your using it just as much. When it comes to the apps and thing, your still using your phone to tell the watch you want the app on it. So basically to make this whole walk through very short your apple watch is a "legit Accessory" and I know for a fact if I worked back in retail or my warehouse job this watch would come in handy a lot (we couldn't be on our phones or even check them while on the clock). But for a blogger like myself now I basically can keep my phone in my purse or on my desk and not have to worry about missing a message or a call. So I know you might be wondering now, well is it worth all that money and truthful it's really up to you and your financial situation or what you consider worth spending a couple hundred on. For me personal like I said in the beginning, if it wasn't for me winning this I wasn't even thinking about getting on and would have been just as happy with an exercise watch. So it's all up to you my friend.
PS: I would like to give a special Thank You to and if you are not following them on Twitter make sure you do @ComplexStyle

Field Hockey

Top: Old Navy | Jeans: Target | Sandals: Torrid | Sunglasses: Target | Lips: Sinfulcolors Lip Shine "Hot to Trot"
This weekend was a blast! I got a lot of work done and got to celebrate Fathers Day along with the first day of Summer. What more could I ask for! I have been dressing very comfortably lately and I think it has a lot to do with this dang heat.
I bought my top at Old Navy years ago like 2009... Lol but it still looks good and I really love it. It's really hands down the only top I want to wear when I don't know what to wear or just want to lounge around.
My lip shine though! Sinfulcolors went in when they made this color and formula. I found there lip products at Walgreen and haven't seen them since. If I could I would love to test out more but I can't find any info on them or even get in contact with the company... So sad!

Top Three

{Skater Girl mini collage}

This week I have felt my most productive and happy. I think it has a lot to do with a new thinking thing my boyfriend is teaching me. It's basically about positive energy and what great things you put out to the world, will come back to you. Kinda like the Karma effect used positively.

I have also been keeping up with my exercise and movement and including a new drink into the mix called Full Time Energy the Super Fruit and Berry Weight Loss Blend. So far I really like it and a review will be up in a couple of weeks.

If your new to FashionShyChild I also have a gaming blog called GamingShyChild it's a sister site to this one, but only about gaming... Go Subscribe! I have been testing out a really cool app called Scripture Hero and you can read more about it over on that blog.

My style has been very get up and get to it lately and I'm not even in a rush to do anything. I think it's mainly because I want to be comfortable and look put together like I care...the kid in me is still there though.
My outfits have also been changing throughout the day, due to exercise workouts. But what do you wear when you just want to feel relaxed throughout the day?

My Weight Loss Outfit

My Weight loss Outfit

Since we all know that I am trying to loose weight and become the healthy more slimmer me, it wouldn't be right for me not to share my weight loss outfit.
If you have know clue what a weight loss outfit is, it's basically an outfit (top bottoms, dress...) any piece of clothing you do not fit and would love to wear one day. Some people have the item/s in their closet, like I do and others like to go out to the mall or someplace like that and select a dream item. It's what ever works for you.
I personally love doing my weight loss this way because it's basically a mini goal in front of me and every week I can see how small I'm getting Intel the item fits. That's something you can't do with a scale and on another note you will know what size you fit when your desired weight does come off.
Like I said earlier, I already have the clothing items in my closet that I would love to fit into. So let's get into those items more with where they came from and how they fit/ don't fit right now.

My Weight loss Outfit 2
In 2009 away on Holiday in London, England I picked out this Pepper Tree London top on Camden Market. It was inside a store type of thing that looked like a Flee Market. I had to get it because it looked unique and I never seen anything like it here in the states. I don't know the exact size of this top but it was the biggest one the man had and I think he said it was a Large. We were all unsure about it actually fitting, but I got it anyways and I can't wait to loose the extra weight and rock it.

My Weight loss Outfit 3
I bought these Coogi shorts online from along with some other pieces. I did find them in the plus size section on the website and ordered them in the size 14W, since size 14 is my size...but they don't fit at all. I can only get them up to my thighs and that's it.  It's really quite sad because I have always wanted something Coogi and never got it in till now.

Get Silky Smooth Legs for Summer

Get Silky Smooth Legs for Summer 1
Hey fellow Shy Children!

Summer is literally right around the corner, but if you live in an area like I do, you are already reaching high summer temperatures.

With those high summer temperatures your wardrobe changes, equaling less clothes and more skin showing. Yesss! Winter hair has to go girl. But don't worry, I'm hear to share with you my steps to getting silky smooth skin for summer. Anyone can do this because it's super easy... So if you are a beginner give it a go! Also if you are one to have sensitive skin these steps/products will work for you too... So lets get started!

Get Silky Smooth Legs for Summer 3
Products you will need:
A loofah
Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor
Skintimate Skin Therapy Lotionized Silky Skin Shaving Gel

The first thing I do is wash the area. This can be done using your regular body wash/soap and a loofah. Make sure you really get the leg clean. The loofah will help you accomplish that, since it's a great tool to use to exfoliate the skin.

Second, take the Skintimate Skin Therapy Lotionized Silky Skin Shaving Gel and apply the gel all over your legs. Always remember starting out with a little bit of saving gel is the way to go and apply more as needed. This way you don't waste product.

Third, once all of the shaving gel is distributed evenly all over your leg. Take the Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor and shave your legs. If you have never shaved your legs before you just go in an upwards motion, so basically starting start from the bottom of your leg and move the razor up. ( Please! YouTube this if your still unsure)

Fourth, rinse off your legs and that's it! You are now left with silky smooth legs for summer.

PS: This method can be used for anything you desire to shave, so always be summer ready.

L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad Summer Read

audible la candy 1
Back in 2009/10 when Lauren Conrad released L.A. Candy I bought it, with the great intentions of reading it and being able to share/ talk about the story with my friends.
Since I was in college at the time my plan was to read this book when I had free time/ no homework. I got through the first 1 and a half chapters and then never picked up the book again. It wasn't like I wasn't enjoying it, I'm just not a hug fan at all of reading. It might come as a shock to some of you since I am a blogger and a lot of blogging includes reading/ writing but somethings just don't keep my attention.

Speeding up to this present day, I found a website called Audible, had no freakin clue what it was but seen it was an Amazon company and we all know how much I love Amazon... I gave it a try and signed up. After signing up I got the opportunity to pick out a book and not just any book "an audio book" something that would be read too me instead of me reading it by myself. So of course I went with the book I didn't get to finished and that being Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy.

I entitled this post my summer read but let's be honest, this book read to you by Lauren herself only takes like 7 hours and that could be spread out in less than a week. But we all have to start some where and taking the initiative to do something educational is a great start in my book. I hope you all will go over to and read a long with me.

SELFIE CHILD #3 with a #TLKwithCort

Hey Friends!

Today is your lucky day, you get a selfie child post along with a #TLKwithCort.
You all know how the selfie child part goes by now but if you are new to my blog it's basically me cleaning out my phone and sharing with you one selfie season in it. That's cool huh!?
Next is a #TLKwithCort, that's where I go on social media and ask everyone who follows me if they have a question they would like for me to answer. I am a very nice and open person so I even take funny questions too. All I ask that you do is use the #TLKwithCort so I can find your questions.
With all that rambling out the way lets just get started shall we! ❤️

"If you could be a Spice Girl, which one would you be and why?"

That's a hard question since each of the Spice Girls represents a feeling/behavior within me. When I was a kid my favorite my favorite spice girl was Sporty Spice because I could relate to her more since I had tomboy ways. But when I was feeling more girly I liked Posh Spice. So I would have to say them too.

So that was all of the questions I received... I hope next time more people take the advantage to ask questions. Because you never know what cool advice you will receive.

See you next post!
